Local Blitz methodology

From LocalBlitz.wiki, the sourced reference on Local Blitz

This article describes the approach Local Blitz says it takes to digital marketing. The principles below are the agency’s own statements, attributed to its website; they are not independent assessments.

Digital Marketing Done Right

Local Blitz’s slogan is “Digital Marketing Done Right”. The agency says the phrase means taking “a data-driven and scientific approach”, letting “the data tell us what to do”, and building custom solutions instead of “pre-planned cookie cutter packages”.[1] Its About page adds that there are “no short term goals, only long term strategies”, and says marketing methods are tested on its own websites before being used for clients.[2] On its local SEO page, it describes “Adaptive Thinking based on Data, not blog posts”: basing strategy on data and results rather than industry trends.[3]

The four-stage process

The agency calls its general method “The Local Blitz Super Powered Process”:[4]

The Local Blitz process, as described by the agency
StageDescription
1. DiscoveryEstablishing what the client is trying to accomplish. “No cookie-cutter packages, simply custom solutions.”
2. StrategizeChoosing the traffic channels, KPIs and analytics tools.
3. ImplementPutting the resulting playbook into action.
4. ReviewConstant review, because “a stagnant plan is never going to work”.

Local SEO process

For SEO, the agency publishes a similar four-phase sequence: market analysis (understanding regional dynamics), project planning, implementation of strategy, and constant review, with adaptation “based on recent SERP updates”.[3] It calls the Google Business Profile “a premier lead source for numerous local businesses” and lists lead tracking as a core part of the work.[3] In its FAQ, the agency says SEO suits long-term growth and PPC suits immediate visibility, and that it combines the two when appropriate.[5]

Search-based and interruption marketing

Local Blitz says one of the first things it does with a new client is explain the difference between search-based marketing, where people use search engines to solve a problem they have, and interruption marketing, which creates awareness on platforms such as Facebook. It says both work, but one is usually the better place to start.[6]

Transparency and reporting

The agency says it identifies KPIs with each client at the start of a project and reports on key metrics such as lead flow and lead sources. For lead generation campaigns, it says it tracks every lead “from click to call”.[1] Its FAQ says SEO success is measured by keyword rankings, organic traffic, user behavior and conversions, with monthly reports and regular check-ins.[5] Local Blitz attributes having clients who have stayed with it for more than five years to this focus on communication and transparency.[1]

Client selection

Local Blitz says that if it does not believe it can get results for a business, it will not take the business on as a client and will point it to someone better suited.[1] Co-founder Nick Bennett is quoted as saying the agency is “selective about who we will and won’t take on as clients”.[2] For co-founder Simon White’s personal approach to local SEO, AEO/GEO and penalty recovery, see Simon White: Methodology on SimonWhite.wiki.
